Noel Watson: IFA
Talk to me about: Your goals and objectives. My role is to then work with you to create, implement and review your financial plan to help you achieve these targets.
I enjoy what I do because: Meeting a broad spectrum of people and knowing that I have helped them in planning for their future.
Cats, Canines & Kids: A son and a daughter – soon to be joined by a canine companion.
Hobbies: Rugby (just coaching and watching these days). Cars (driving tours and tracks days). Learning to play the bass guitar. Discovering new wines.
2 Fun Facts:
I had to convince rowing legend Steve Redgrave (who was start marshall) to reschedule the race when one of our opposition broke their oar at the start of the Henley Regatta course. Fortunately he said yes which was just as well as I had to rush to my second day of a new job.
I discovered that it’s possible to suffer a reasonably serious injury playing “touch” rugby – I’m never going to live that one down!
Local tip: Local to me is Pyrford. Explore the waterways. I’ve cycled to Basingstoke, Godalming and London (not in the same day!) along various towpaths.
If I didn’t work at Chevening I would be: Refurbishing another house, it is incredibly stressful but equally rewarding.
What I’m looking forward to: Continuing to work with my clients to help them achieve their goals. Becoming a Certified Financial Planner – targeting 2019.
